Meet the Owner…Mason Bettis

Creator, Owner, and Director of Evolve 26- the Brand, the Studio, and Athletic Wear. Mason Bettis was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and this is her 24th year dancing and her 13th year teaching and choreographing.. At the age of 13, Mason began teaching and choreographing at Precision Athletes and De Frances Academy of Dance. Over her years of teaching and choreographing, Mason has won many Regional and National Choreography Awards, Judge’s Choice Awards, and 1st place awards. Mason attended her freshman year of high school at St. Joseph’s Academy and was on the Catholic High Bruinettes Dance Team. After 1 year of high school, she began online homeschool and trained for many hours a day at a pre-professional dance company. After graduating high school a year early, at 17 years old, Mason moved to North Hollywood, California to further her dance training. Over the years, Mason has traveled all over the United States and many places abroad (Canada, Finland, and more), to assist many professional Dance Choreographers. She has trained in Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Pointe, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Jazz Funk, and Tap. Mason worked as a head instructor and staff member for Universal Dance Association (UDA) and has worked for 4 years as a choreographer and technique coach for many middle and high school Nationally ranked dance teams. In 2023, Mason danced in the Big Buddy’s Dancing with the Stars Charity Event in Baton Rouge, LA and continues to enjoy performing and participating in other local charity events around the area. Since a very young age, Mason has always dreamed of teaching, choreographing, and one day having her own dance studio, company, and brand. She actually made up the logo for Evolve 26 at the age of 11 years old. Mason has had many successful students have gone on to become dancers for Collegiate Dance Teams including but not limited to: LSU Golden Girls, Ole Miss Rebelettes, and more. Mason also has brought dancer’s to achieving their “Next Chapter” Goals in other ways: one of her students was accepted into Shannon Mather’s- Mather Dance Company: “Bridge into the Industry” Program which will mentor her while dancing professionally in the Industry while living in California. Mason’s main goal is to continue to educate and train dancers around the Baton Rouge area for many years to come and bring them to either their highest level of training up until high school, or bring them to the next level with whatever goals they may set with a career in dance. She hopes to always inspire and bring out the best in each dancer that walks into Evolve 26, and create an experience that does more than teaches just dance to her students. Being a good human is most important, and being a good dancer comes next. Day in and out of the studio, she mentors those who look up to her and truly tries to encourage those under her to be independent, confident, disciplined, and self-motivated LEADERS.. Lastly, Mason is determined that her brand, business, teaching, choreography, and dancers, will never stop evolving.
